The Lex-Ham Community Theater will present Brian Friel's play Lovers, which is a pair of two one-act plays, Winners and Losers, on six performances August 15 to 28. Brian Friel is one of Ireland's master story tellers.
In Winners, Joe and Mag are 17, preparing for exams at school, and set to get married in 3 weeks.
In Losers, Hanna and Andy get creative as they court in the same house as Hanna's elderly and invalid mother.
At 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 15, Losers will be performed as part of the Minnesota Irish Fair on the University of Minnesota's Showboat by Harriet Island by downtown Saint Paul. There is free admission to the Minnesota Irish Fair events
