Fun, entertainment, and a new season preview are all in store as Meadow Brook Theatre hosts its 5th annual Andes Awards on Friday, July 18, 2014.
15 Andes will be awarded to artists for their work during the 2013-2014 Meadow Brook Theatre season.
Subscribers have already been given the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists via mail-in ballot. The votes have been tallied and now it is time for the theatre community to celebrate.
"This event isn't just for subscribers of Meadow Brook Theatre," said Travis Walter, MBT's Artistic Director and Master of Ceremonies of the event, "The evening is free and open to the public. Even if you've just seen a few shows this season we want you to come celebrate with us. Many of the theatre's staff, technicians, actors and artists will be in attendance and this is a great opportunity to mingle as a community."

"The Andes Awards allow us to honor the hard work and dedication of our artists, and to hear from our subscribers each season," said Cheryl Marshall, MBT's Managing Director, "We love hearing from our audiences, they are the reason we are here, and have been here for 48 seasons."
Wine and appetizers will be served at 6:30 PM in the theatre's lobby. Awards begin at 7:00 PM in the theatre. The event is free and open to the public.
Meadow Brook Theatre, Michigan's Answer to Broadway is a nonprofit, cultural institution located on the campus of Oakland University at 207 Wilson Hall, Rochester, MI 48309. MBT has been serving southeast Michigan for 48 years.
