In the 2024-25 season opener, South Florida Symphony Orchestra honors a century of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue alongside works by Prokofiev and Elgar. Conducted by award-winning Maestra Sebrina María Alfonso, the program features pianist Benjamin Hochman performing Gershwin's iconic piece, along with Prokofiev's The Love for Three Oranges Suite and Elgar's Symphony No. 1. This concert promises to celebrate the transformative power of classical music through a captivating selection of compositions. Performances are set for November 13 in Fort Lauderdale and November 16 in Miami Beach.
