Gather your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets to come experience the music and drama of Madame Butterfly under the stars. This opera gets a stunning and cinematic twist, set in a 1930s film set, transforming the appearance of this beloved classic. An American officer in turn-of-the-century Japan wants a bride, and a greedy marriage broker obliges, assuring him that the union can be easily dissolved. This event is free to attend and open to all ages. This event is brought to you with the generous support of Lindsey P. Horvath, Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors representing the Third District.
