The Los Angeles production of ‘Wicked’ announced today that as part of the national celebration of Wicked Day, ‘Wicked’ fans will be encouraged to commit to a green environment with a Wickedly green, Wickedly fun Scavenger Hunt through Hollywood on Sunday, October 26. Wicked Day is celebrated around the world in the cities where the hit musical is performing.

This year ‘Wicked’ is doing something for good for Hollywood and the community is invited to be part of it.  ‘Wicked’ is sponsoring a "Pledge to be Green" Wicked Day Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, Oct. 26 starting at Selma Park, where fans of the Tony Award-winning musical will embark on a  Scavenger Hunt through Hollywood. ‘Wicked’ fans will receive a scavenger hunt map (that looks surprisingly like the map of Emerald City) loaded with clues and "green" tips, as well as an opportunity to enter into a raffle for tickets to a future performance of ‘Wicked’. The hunters will then embark on a journey to find strategically placed "Witches", each bearing a coveted green sticker needed in the quest to complete the hunt. As part of their pledge to be green, the hunters will greenify a street in Hollywood along the way. The hunt, which takes approximately one hour to complete, will be filled with Ozmopolitan surprises at every twist and turn.

The Wicked Day Scavenger Hunt is being presented with the assistance of the Hollywood Entertainment District and their CleanStreet team.

Ozians and the general public are all invited to put on their walking shoes, apply sunscreen, and gather their teams to embark on the Wicked Day Scavenger Hunt. Registration is from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Selma Park, located on the corner of Selma Avenue and Schrader Boulevard in Hollywood. There is metered street parking (which is free on Sunday) in the area, as well as several parking lots on Schrader with a rate of up to $10.  For more information visit: http://www.wickedday.com/events-la.html
