Watts Village Theater Company will stage Michael Patrick Spiller's new play Follow, a family drama. Marcus and Daniel are getting married. Their foster son Noah calls them "Dad & Pops". They're a typical American family, juggling wedding plans and busy lives... until Marcus' religious father returns to town, leading a campaign against "non-traditional marriage" that sends shock-waves through the community. After years of distance and denial, Marcus has one more chance to reconcile with his father and face the painful memories of his past, before he can move on to raise a family of his own.

Follow saw its first staged reading at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival and moved on to a workshop production at Celebration Theater. WVTC produced a staged reading of the play in 2013. WVTC is now proud to present the fully staged production of Follow, performed site-specifically in The Watts Coffee House located in the historic Mafundi Institute complex.

In relationship to the production, WVTC has received a grant to help revitalize and beautify the ground and structure of the Mafundi Institute complex in time for opening night.

The play is directed by Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx and features a stunning cast of both Equity and non-equity performers.
