On Friday, March 27, multi award-winning composer and lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver will bring sexy
schoolteachers, provocative rent-boys, obsessive homicidal teenagers, and fairy dust to The Theatre at Boston Court.

Featuring a ridiculously talented cast from Broadway to L.A., RATED RSO: The Music and Lyrics of Ryan Scott Oliver is directed by Travis Greisler (Broadway Tommy, Hey You Know What Movie Would Make a Good Musical), music directed by Brett Ryback and will star Haviland Stillwell (Broadway’s Les Miserables, B’wayworld’s Flirt with Haviland Stillwell), Morgan Karr (Broadway’s Spring Awakening), Daniel Tatar (Pasadena Playhouse’s The Last Five Years, Eric Whitacre’s Paradise Lost), Melissa Lyons (B’way tour: Les Miserables), Aleks Pevec (Mark Taper Forum’s Pippin, Tommy at the Ricardo Montalban), Emily Ann Rossell (Pittsburgh CLO’s Always…Patsy Cline) and introducing Jennifer DeRosa.

Also appearing that evening will be Dawn Cantwell (NYC Encores’ Music in the Air), Emily Clark (The Chance's The Brain from Planet X), Ben Goldberg (Mrs. Sharp), Jeff Leatherwood (CMT’s Breaking Up is Hard to Do), Jeffrey Christopher Todd (Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place), and LA Weekly nominee Grace Wall (Boston Court’s Gulls).

The show will include several of Oliver’s well-known tunes, including “Lost Boy,” “Out of My Mind,” “When Lily Came,” “Never” and “Mrs. Sharp.”

Ryan Scott Oliver is a 2009 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient and wrote the music and lyrics for Mrs. Sharp (2008 Richard Rodgers Award Winner, formerly Alive at Ten), Darling (Pace New Musicals 2009), the song cycle Out of My Head, music for Angus Oblong's The Debbies and music and co-lyrics for the hit YouTube TV show The Battery’s Down. His work has been presented in showcases including the Disney/ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop, Goodspeed Musicals, William Finn & Barrington Stages, The York Theatre, Monday Nights New Voices, the Festival of New American Musicals in Los Angeles, and most recently The Ryan Scott Oliver Project conceived by Philly Music Theatre Works. He is a Dramatists Guild Fellow, and the recipient of numerous awards including the first-ever ASCAP Foundation Harold Adamson Award for Excellence in Lyric Writing.
Currently he is working on an untitled show for TheatreworksUSA which will open off-Broadway in 2010. B.A. Music Composition, UCLA; M.F.A. Musical Theatre Writing, NYU-Tisch, a proud member of A.S.C.A.P.

Travis Griesler (Director) has appeared on Broadway in The Who’s Tommy, Broadway Tours of Les
Miserables and Big, and Radio City Music Hall’s Xmas Spectacular. He is the director for NYC sensation Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make a Good Musical?, the upcoming The Broadway Kids, Company at Fordham University, and has helped to develop Andrew Lippa’s The Man in the Ceiling for Disney Theatricals. Other directing credits include Stagedoor Manor and assisting at the Paper Mill Playhouse, Chicago Shakespeare and various other regional theatres throughout the country.
