Center Theatre Group (CTG), Los Angeles’ leading non-profit theatre company has announced the appointment of Dale S. Miller and Timothy A. Regler to a two-year term to its board of directors.

“Both Dale and Tim share a passion for live theatre and the power that it has to change lives and build communities. They bring a wealth of combined experience in the corporate, legal and entertainment sectors and through this, they will bring a uniquely valuable perspective to the board,” said Martin Massman, president of Center Theatre Group.

As a partner at Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman PC, Dale S. Miller has represented clients for over 30 years from diverse industries ranging from healthcare to manufacturing and energy.  Miller represents buyers and sellers in the merger and acquisition of both public and privately held companies, venture capital transactions and finance. He was the co-founder of Miller & Holguin, a Los Angeles transactional law firm started in 1984 that merged in 2006 with his current firm.  From 2005-2009, Miller received the distinction of being named as a Southern California Super Lawyer in the category of Securities and Corporate Finance.

Miller is a member of multiple bar associations and has served as a board member for several non-profit organizations. He has participated on a number of panels involving licensing, finance, and biotechnology sponsored by various organizations including the Milken Institute.

Miller is the co-founder and serves as executive chairman of Proneuron Biotechnologies, Inc., a biotech company engaged in the development of therapies for spinal cord injuries and neuro-immunological diseases.  Miller serves on the board of directors of several corporations, including Anna’s Linens, a national retail chain, and is the co-manager of HIG Equity LLC, a merchant banking firm which holds interests primarily in the energy, infrastructure and health care sectors, including Babcock Power, Inc., one of the largest energy and construction companies in North America focusing on the power generation industry. Miller serves as a board member and chairman of the Audit Committee.

“CTG is a highly effective organization with the power to change the lives of many underprivileged youth through the magical experience of live theatre.  I am honored to be part of an endeavor to bring these cultural experiences to our community,” said Miller.

Timothy A. Regler is a proud, native Angelino and is the executive producer of “Judge Judy,” the highest-rated, nationally-syndicated reality courtroom series that enters its 14th season in September. Regler is a veteran in the field of reality television with over 23 years in court television programming. He began his career as a “gofer” with Ralph Edwards Productions on the show, Truth or Consequences and later climbed the rungs of the ladder on other classic television shows including Name That Tune and This Is Your Life, ultimately becoming the two-time Emmy-nominated director of The People’s Court with Judge Wapner. Later, Regler became a freelance consultant for creative development and special projects with Universal Pictures and The Disney Channel.

Regler is an active member of the Directors Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Academy of Magical Arts. He is also a member of Center Theatre Group’s Artistic Director’s Circle.

“I joined Center Theatre Group’s board to insure the future of the theatre by recognizing that the generation behind us IS the future of the arts and theatre.  They are our next playwrights, actors, set designers, composers – and they need exposure to live theatre now,” said Regler. “I want to bring greater number of young people to our venues in the hope that they will discover a passion to pursue artistic dreams and talent,” he added.

Center Theatre Group is the not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that supports the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theatre, the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, and a significant number of play development and arts education initiatives in Southern California.  The mission of Center Theatre Group is to provide theatre of the highest caliber to the rich, diverse communities of Southern California.
