Position Overview
Rockefeller Productions is a multi-faceted entertainment company that specializes in high quality family entertainment for the stage, screen, and immersive events for domestic and international markets.
Our productions include beloved characters from iconic properties such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Paddington Bear, That Golden Girls Show, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation, and Pixar Putt along with several major titles in development.
We are seeking a Touring Company Manager with at least 3 years’ experience for a theatrical US tour launching as soon as Fall 2022. Theatrical touring experience is required. Rockefeller Productions requires all personnel to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
The Company Manager reports to the tour’s Producers and General Manager, manages all aspects on the touring production and will serve as the show’s representative on tour and the day-to-day logistics and well-being of the cast and crew.
The Company consists of 15 members. The performance involves 6 x actors/puppeteers, plus 2 touring swings.
This is a non-union contract. Travel will be primarily by bus/van, with potential fly dates, if applicable. The tour’s physical production travels with one 53’ truck, and merchandise. Schedule will shift on a weekly basis depending on rehearsal and performance calendar.
Hotel room and daily per diem provided by the Presenter/Producer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Directly oversee the tour’s management team
• Advance tour requirements with local presenter in advance of arrival and sign off upon arrival that requirements are met. Work with local presenter to solve any issues that may arise
• Coordinate transportation, meals, and housing arrangements for the touring production, as applicable. Working with local presenter, outside agencies, as applicable.
• Liaison with the local presenter overseeing the VIP meet and greet
• Manage and execute administrative responsibilities for the touring Company
• Arrange performance tickets for guests of the Producer and other tour staff
• Audit engagement documents, performance box office statements and finalize the settlement at each venue the tour plays
• Coordinate with Producer’s financial department to administer company payroll
• Assist in the management of budgets and operating procedures, for all road expenses
• Ensure company policies, performer and crew employment agreements are adhered to
• Coordinate local company human resources matters
• Communicate with outside contractors, vendors and agencies involved with the production
• Process workers’ compensation reports and coordinate claims
• Plan events and coordinate other special projects for the production
• Act as one of two Covid Safety Officers for the touring Company
• Other duties as assigned by the Producers or General Manager

• Strong organizational and adaptability skills
• Positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure while managing staff and motivating teams for best results
• Must have an adaptable personality
• Previous experience in company management
• Experience working with and supervising local crews under IATSE union regulations preferred
• Valid US Driver’s License Required. Available to drive van /vehicle if necessary
• Able to work varied hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Salary
$1,200/week, this position is overtime exempt
