"Think'' Project PSA (Non-Union/NYC Call) - The "Think" Project

We are currently in the process of casting an upcoming Public Service Announcement that will focus on the American Families Act and The Education Relief Act. We aim to raise awareness and galvanize lawmakers and citizens to make the best decisions for the American family and the future generations.



The PSA will be underscored by Aretha Franklin’s timeless classic “Think” and will feature an ensemble of primarily youth performers. We are looking for strong youth dancers, and strong adult movers to tell the story, as we will not be employing the use of sets and only using minimal costumes and props. This will be a theatrical play themed PSA. The dancers will serve as the chorus to stage the various scenarios that will be showcased, as well as break into a group dance number in unison. We also are interested in casting featured roles from within the ensemble.



The breakdown is below:



Adult Male Identifying Actor:

20s-30s, any race, strong mover, storyteller and works well with children.



Adult Female Identifying Actor:

20s-30s, any race, strong mover, storyteller and works well with children.



“Think” Chorus : A total of 5 diverse and charismatic dancers, from various gender identities and ethnicities

Age Range: 7 to 17

Dance Styles: must be proficient in Hip Hop (Ballet, Jazz, Gymnastics is a plus but not required, Acting experience is also a big plus but not required)



Child care featured performer:

Female identifying teenager

Age 16 to 17



Nutrition featured performer:

Any gender identity, any race

Age 7 or 8



Filming will take place in New York City

Locations: TBD

Possible Date Ranges: 7/18 - 8/3 as well as 8/14 - 8/23



Please let us know if you have any conflicts as we will not be using all of the dates listed above.



A tutorial will be sent to those selected and there will be 2-3 zoom rehearsals that would be 1-2 hours in length prior to in person rehearsals.



The in person process would span four days in total (2 in person rehearsals/2 days of filming).



No more than eight hours per day, with a meal break, and smaller breaks throughout the days.



A small stipend will be provided.
