Eagle Theatre (Hammonton, NJ) is seeking candidates for a Technical Director/Production Manager Position. This is a full-time, Senior Staff position. When working on-site, the employee will be expected to abide by Eagle Theatre’s COVID-19 policies as well as abide by NJ Government Workplace Protections.

The ideal candidate will oversee all contracted technicians, overhire crews, and designers. The TD/PM will report to the Producing Executive Director, Angela Longo. As a hybrid role, sharing Technical Director and Production Management duties, the person hired for this position will also be responsible for managing production calendars, stage management, and safety procedures, as well as conducting production meetings and post mortems. This position will also be responsible for facility management and inventory control of our theatre facility and workshops.

The Technical Director/Production Manager will be responsible for upholding this commitment alongside the rest of the Eagle Theatre staff and Board.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience or show strong promise in the following areas:
Knowledge of technical theatre
Lighting, Set building, Sound, Stage Management, Costuming
Strong management skills
Scheduling
Good organizational skills
Facilities management
Shop and Scenic Shop organization management
Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Knowledge and or Experience working with Actor’s Equity Association and Small Professional Theatre guidelines/contracts
A passion for the sustainability of the Eagle Theatre and equitable practices is integral to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in helping coordinate mainstage productions as well as community wide events in Hammonton (Third Thursday, New Jersey Fringe Festival, Food Truck Festival)
Oversee production calendar and ensure production teams are on schedule
Ensure equitable, inclusive and accessible practices
Represent Eagle Theatre
Facilitate production meetings
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of artists and production teams
Serve as the point person for developing and ensuring safety procedures and policies
Serve as point person for incoming technicians, designers, stage managers
Attend weekly staff meetings
Maintain inventory and stock of stage manager/rehearsal supplies
Collaborate on the development of production budgets
Attend monthly board meetings and provide Board reports
Payment/Benefits: This position is considered full-time (35-40 hours/week). Salary will be commensurate with experience with an annual range of $38,000 to $42,000. Healthcare Reimbursement Agreements (HRAs) can be drafted for interested applicants. At this time, we do not offer additional benefits.
