Seeking Gay Male Identifying and Trans Woman for Playwright Festival - 2Kats

I am seeking two actors for a queer based short play in the Emerging Artists SPARK Festival.



Stop All the Gaycism is an art piece that honors the truths within the LGBTQAI+ community about feeling persecuted, bullied or otherwise Kafka-esque by sharing personal histories of coming out. The passion expressed in words is matched on canvas as each actor contributes to a live art installation on stage.



Characters needed:

Sam (male identifying) any age or race- gay, confused about what the “right amount” of gay is, vibrant,

Rika (trans female) awkward, gamer girl, under 45/ any race



Audition for a one night only festival performance in Emerging Artists Theatre's SPARK Festival on March 22. It's a 10 person monologue based performance, mostly solo pieces back to back ranging in 2-4 minute sets per character. Each story told is a real life experience of the playwright's loved ones, and each contributed artistic act from each is chosen by the original storyteller.



There will be limited rehearsals - one, MAYBE two live rehearsals before TECH (March 21st). Each performer will get a very modest stipend of $25 for participating. If possible, I want to cast as authentically as possible to help visibility.
