Staff Rigger (Summer Seasonal) - The Glimmerglass Festival

The Glimmerglass Festival seeks a Staff Rigger for its 2023 Festival Season.



The Staff Rigger works as a member of a three-person crew. The Staff Rigger reports to the ATD of Rigging Operations and works alongside the Rigging Apprentice who will be involved in most projects the Staff Rigger participates in. The primary goals of the position will include the initial load-in of flying scenery elements, assisting with rigging changeovers for our repertory season, and conducting rigging maintenance as needed. Theatrical rigging, fall arrest, and metal fabrication knowledge is needed to find success in the position. Projects will be worked on independently, as a member of the Rigging team, and at times participate in the projects of the Carpentry and Stage Operations crews. The responsibilities of this position require the employee to be physically present on campus to complete the tasks assigned. Some training opportunities may be available. Commitment to safe work habits and shop practices is essential. Must be willing to abide by Glimmerglass Festival’s current and potential future Covid-19 policies, including testing and wearing a mask on campus.



This position runs May 1 to August 27, 2023. $16.50/Hr. Includes housing.
