Performers, The Thanksgiving Play - Southern Rep Theatre

Southern Rep Theatre invites AEA and non-union actors to submit themselves for consideration for our upcoming production of THE THANKSGIVING PLAY, by Larissa Fasthorse, directed by Jeanette Godoy. Callbacks are by invitation only. Please read below for instructions on how to submit.



WE ARE SPECIFICALLY SEEKING ACTORS OF COLOR, ACTORS WHO ARE DIFFERENTLY-ABLED, ACTORS WHO ARE NEURO-DIVERSE, AND ACTORS WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBTQIA+. FROM PLAYWRIGHT- "ALL AGES ARE OPEN AND PEOPLE OF COLOR THAT CAN PASS AS WHITE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL CHARACTERS."

Southern Rep Theatre will be accepting SELF-TAPED submissions for its first production of the season.

COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY: Per guidance from Actors Equity Association, Southern Rep Theatre will require all eligible actors to be fully vaccinated to work on this production. For those who are not eligible or who have a medical or religious exemption: these individuals must adhere to weekly PCR testing and all mitigation measures, including masking, that are advised at the time of rehearsal/production. For these specific auditions, Southern Rep Theatre is requiring all actors auditioning to show proof of vaccination. Providing your vaccination card or a photograph of the card will suffice. All actors must also remain masked while in rehearsal. Masks may only be removed during the actual audition.

Story

A troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American History Month.
