Music Director for Assassins - Theatre UP

Theatre UP in Littleton, NH is seeking a Music Director for their upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s musical, Assassins.



Theatre UP is a non-profit community theatre organization in Littleton, NH. Performances are held at the historic Littleton Opera House.



The Music Director is responsible for working collaboratively with our Artistic Director in preparing the production for public performance, including casting, rehearsing the vocalists and orchestra, and conducting the orchestra. It is expected that the Music Director will have the ability to play piano and teach vocal parts for this production.

Auditions will be held in December with a small rehearsal commitment before the holidays. Rehearsals will run the month of January, 2023, and performances will run February 10-19 for a total of 6 performances.

Stipend is $1,500 with an additional $100 per week food allowance. Lodging is provided for the length of the contract.

Though not directly related to this posting, Theatre Up is seeking a collaborative pianist to join our educational staff this spring, as well as a permanent company Music Director.
