ShowTown Theatricals is currently accepting applications for a full-time General Management Associate/Assistant position.
Founded in 2020 by Nathan Gehan, ShowTown Theatricals is a new and innovative general management company that specializes in managing Broadway shows, Broadway tours, virtual productions, and many more. Our deep roster of developmental productions and our commitment to creating a more diverse and multicultural theater industry, including through our partnership with the Black Theatre Coalition, puts ShowTown at the forefront of the return of the Broadway industry. Responsibilities include the standard: Preparing, editing and reviewing production budgets, employment and vendor contracts, financial reporting and input, assisting with administrative tasks, e-filing production documents, preparing box office wraps, conducting production research and additional duties as assigned.
ShowTown Theatricals is a small company with an “all hands on deck” attitude, no job is too small for anyone in our office and a “can do” mindset is necessary. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for learning how things work, is interested in theater as a business and has an appetite to work hard and grow within the industry.
Necessary skills include self-motivation, a positive attitude and enjoying (and taking pride in) the work you do! (It’s also great if you know Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks and have previous contract or budgeting experience… but no worries if not—you’ll pick it up quick, we’re great teachers!).
Start Date: On or about June 1, 2021
Office Hours/ Location: Typically Monday through Friday, 10am – 6pm, when not in production. Film Center, 630 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10036. ShowTown is currently working remotely until live theatre returns but is targeting a reopening of the office in late summer.
