All classes online via Zoom

Kevin Michael Murphy is a NYC based voice teacher and co-founder of the NYC Vocal Studio. Kevin’s voice students have appeared on Broadway/National Tours of: Spongebob Squarepants, Head Over Heels, Kiss Me Kate, Aladdin, Jersey Boys, Wicked, School of Rock, Hairspray, Spring Awakening, and more. He also spent a decade on the Musical Theatre voice faculty at NYU Steinhardt. Kevin’s work as a voice teacher explores connections between the brain, the body, and the artistic self. His work takes a holistic approach which incorporates performance psychology, cognitive science, experiential learning, somatic awareness/movement modalities, and the latest discoveries in voice science. In addition to holding a Master’s Degree from NYU, he is a certified Pranayma Breathing coach and has completed a 3 year mentorship training in Experiential Learning and Facilitation.





As an actor, Kevin was an original company member of the First National Tour of the Tony Award winning musical, The Book of Mormon. Other credits include the Off-Broadway production of The Awesome 80’s Prom,in addition to With Glee,and The Happy Embalmer at NYMF. Kevin is the creator/star of Craig Stevens Guide to Making it On Broadway and the Bistro Award winning concert series, If It Only Even Runs a Minute, which have both played to sold out houses around NYC.
