AUDITION DETAILS:

N'Kenge Foundation is currentky accepting videos submissions for a new talent competition called SHOWSTOPPERS to be held in May in NYC.  



Application along with video submission are due no later than Friday, April 4, 2025 by 5pm. In order to apply, please complete the “Application and pay the $35 non-refundable application fee. Please be sure you application includes  your headshot, resume, bio & a link to your audition materials.

NOTE: We are seeking submissions for Singers, Actors and Dancers from both the United States and Internationally who are available in Mid May for a LIVE onstage talent competition in NYC. Please note: Travel and accommodations will not be provided for the live show.

 

COMPETITION DETAILS:

Availability: Finalists must be available the weekend of May 17 – 18, 2025.

 

HOW IT WORKS:

• Finalists will be divided into 3 age categories (12-17 y/o, 18–23 y/o, 24-30y/o)



•15 finalists (5 finalists per age bracket) will be selected from video submissions to perform in a LIVE! Onstage Talent Competition in NYC in Mid May. 



• 1 winner from each age category will receive an ALL EXPENSES PAID TRIP to the ULTIMATE PARIS SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL June 16 – July 1, 2025.



Participants will engage in daily lessons, sightsee and culminate their experience with a spectacular performance, showcasing their newfound talents.

David Lee Brewer (Beyoncé’s vocal coach)

Jeremiah Abiah (Coach to the stars & major record labels)

Avery Wilson (Pop Sensation)

Lou Stancil (Will Smith’s acting coach)

Helen Goldsby –(Actress, Singer, Activist)

Broadway & West End Producers, Agents & Casting Directors

• Finalists will be decided by a panel of Board members and celebrity judges to be announced



• Industry & Celebrity Panel of judges will determine if  you have what it takes to be the next SHOWSTOPPER!



•There will be no callbacks. 

 

ABOUT YOUR AUDITION / WHAT TO PREPARE?

Auditions should be no more than 3 minutes in length and should include a solo performance taken no more than three months ago. It should showcase your most recent skill level.

 

For singers: please include repertoire that is age appropriate, and demonstrates your genre of interest (Opera, Jazz, Pop, Musical Theater).

 

For actors: please include two 1-minute contrasting monologues from a play, film, or TV.

 

For dancers: please include a 16-32 bar combo in the style of your choice (Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip-hop, Jazz, Contemporary).

 

After you have captured your video recording, please create a link on YouTube marked as “Unlisted” and submit that link or create a google drive link and upload them into the “application form” for submission along with your headshot and resume and bio. Please be sure you click the link to submit your $35 application fee. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 

 

To be considered as a Completed Application it should include 

 - Artist Application with includes a headshot, resume, bio,

-               $35 Application Fee Paid at the time of submission

-               3 Minute Video Audition via link 



 After we have received your application and audition, please allow 1 week for a letter of acceptance or denial. Upon successful audition, you will receive a letter of acceptance as a finalist for the live show.
