About the Position:

Reporting to the Chief Visitor Experience Officer, the Director of Visitor Experience will lead and support the Visitor Experience management team. They will oversee the implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of The Shed’s visitor experience operations and the department’s staff, as directed by the Chief Visitor Experience Officer. The Director of Visitor Experience is responsible for oversight of exemplary customer service, including the gallery attendants, ushers, coat check, group tours, and information desk employees.





The ideal candidate will be someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who connects deeply with The Shed’s mission to advance contemporary culture and is able to work collaboratively with colleagues across a quickly growing organization.
