Lead/Manage a traveling sales force to achieve the highest sales while providing excellent customer service. Lead a support staff of up to 7 employees and up to 50 traveling or local sales personnel that help with all aspects related to the sales process. Responsible for maintaining all company policies and procedures including any health and safety mitigation procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maximize sales and profitability while maintaining a high quality of customer service:
Generate sales plans and ideas by reviewing prior results, developing new strategies, and evaluating options.
Study local markets and recommend price adjustments accordingly.
Negotiate and establish sales locations.
Establish merchandise display parameters.
Supervise sales locations.
Ensure proper staffing.
2. Maintain optimum inventory:
Project, order, and maintain accurate levels of merchandise based on multiple variables (pricing, attendance, etc.).
Control inventory shrink.
Control the inventory process.
Schedule stock shipments.
3. Develop proper sales and support staff:
Manage recruitment efforts for staff & sales personnel.
Determine proper number of local agency vendors needed to conduct business & increase sales.
Maintain company rules and standards.
Establish and maintain a positive work atmosphere per company guidelines.
Evaluate and coach sales and office staff.
4. Evaluate, enforce, and monitor company and proper local health standards and ensure they are followed at all times.
Oversee and follow up on all related mitigation strategies set out from the corporate office.
5. Manage and monitor the unit’s accounting and financial responsibilities.
Manage proper bookkeeping procedures.
Establish scheduling for timely and safe bank deposits.
Communicate with Treasury on banking issues.
Ensure all reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Set and monitor budget plans for the season.
6. Manage the unit operational and logistical functions of:
Load in and load out of equipment.
Develop load plans.
Personnel transport.
Equipment movement.
International documentation.
Recommend/refine equipment for better efficiency.
Establish and implement equipment maintenance schedules for 100% functionality.
Evaluate and enforce proper Health and Safety standards to ensure compliance at all times including mitigation standards.
7. Ensure company rules and standards are met at arenas, hotels, company property, and company transportation.
8. Ensure timely and respectful communication to unit, arena, interdepartmental, and service providers, not limited to:
Report daily sales figures to VP/Director.
Updating and communicating with the VP/Director on all unit issues.
Communicate with warehouse as needed.
Communicate with support personnel at corporate.
Communicate with arena management.
Coordinate with show management.
Communicate with sales and office staff.
Communicate with local contacts: banks, suppliers, health and fire inspectors.
Dispute resolution.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years Retail Sales management of 20+ associates.
2+ years in a customer service-oriented environment.
Valid Driver’s license.
Valid Passport (must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally).
Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
Experience in warehouse and inventory management.
Experience in establishing budgets, sales and operational plans.
Basic PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Superior communication skills.
Multi-lingual a plus.
Ability to travel 100%.
