Auditions-22 A Day (non-union/non-paid) - MTM Players

Auditions for 22 A DAY by Mark A. Bodrog and Hunter Haskins, a serious tragedy that brings veteran suicide awareness to the forefront. Show dates/times: Thu. Nov 11th, Fri. Nov 12th , and Sat. Nov 13th all at 7:30PM. This is a NON-UNION/NON-PAID PRODUCTION.

Auditions will be held at American Legion Post 455, 2 Meadowbrook Lane (across from AG-U), New Egypt, NJ 08533 Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM and Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 from 7:30-9:00 PM. Callback and/or fill-in auditions will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at 7:30PM as needed. PLEASE NO WALK-INS. MUST HAVE APPOINTMENT.



Rehearsals will begin the 2nd week of October (with a meet-n-greet/read-through in late September).



Roles Seeking:



MARK (M, early 30s, Leading role): Tall, slender, athletic, disciplined, just-retired Marine.

BETTS (M, early 30s, supporting): Mark’s best friend, ex-Marine, Mark’s polar opposite, undisciplined, loud, aggressive, comedic. Minor PTSD, homeless

DOCTOR PETERS (gender/age non-specific, featured): VA Doctor

CONGRESS(WO)MAN HARPER (gender non-specific, mid 30s-40s)

PARAMEDICS/BAR PATRONS/CONGRESSIONAL AIDE/RECEPTIONISTS/BAR PATRONS (gender/age non-specific, speaking & non-speaking featured roles): Some of these roles may be doubled or actors may play multiple roles

THREE LOCALS (M/late 20s/featured): Three drunk, confrontational locals in one scene, may be doubled in other roles

NOTE: The roles of GRACE, UNCLE HARRY and ROCKY have been cast.



NO PREPARED MONOLOGUES NEEDED, SIDES WILL BE PROVIDED.
