GULFSHORE PLAYHOUSE SEEKS AUDIENCE SERVICES COORDINATOR Gulfshore Playhouse, a not-for-profit, professional theatre company located in Naples, FL is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and customer service savvy individual to serve as Audience Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide Front of House and administrative assistance for the 21-22 Season. Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and small musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. The Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Gulfshore Playhouse has performed for many years in an intimate 200-seat venue at the Norris Center, a municipal building run by the City of Naples. The Playhouse is currently in the middle of a $60M capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art theatre and education center, featuring two theatres and education space. The goal for groundbreaking is late 2021. Status: Full-time, seasonal position Dates: September 2021 to May 2022 Representative Duties: Reporting directly to the organization’s Box Office Manager and Patron Services Manager, the position’s duties include but are not limited to: • Performing all daily box office duties, including answering ticketing phone calls, selling tickets in-person, printing and sorting tickets, taking group sales orders, interacting with subscribers and patrons, pulling box office reports, etc. • Assisting Box Office Manager with all administrative work, including but not limited to mailings, reporting, assisting patrons, taking minutes for meetings, etc. • Providing concierge-level customer service to all patrons • Assisting the Box Office Manager at each performance with all front of house duties, including interacting with patrons, overseeing concessions, seating and front desk duties, setting up of Synergy events • Assisting Box Office Manager with maintaining usher database and running usher orientations as needed • Assisting in managing group sales and experiences • Assisting with launching of performance reminders and thank you emails • Assisting with audience engagement • Attending all staff meetings and other meetings as required • Working any events as may be required by employer including opening night celebrations, the annual education luncheon, and the annual gala fundraiser • Providing services in a manner in accordance with the guidelines contained within Employer’s employee manual and style guide • Rendering such other services as may reasonably be required by Employer and as are customarily furnished by an Audience Services Coordinator at a first-class professional theatrical organization in the United States Qualifications: ● Ability to handle complicated situations with ease, and provide leadership in emergency situations ● Ability to deliver concierge-level customer service to all who walk through our doors, providing an excellent patron experience ● Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and phone skills ● Ability to be self-directed as well as take direction well ● Excellent skill level in Microsoft Office Suite ● Attention to detail and time management skills ● Previous experience in customer service and/or ticket sales preferred but not required The ideal candidate is a strong, team-spirited self-starter who is excited to join a tireless, rapidly-growing, and attitude-forward regional theatre. Candidates should be friendly, excellent with patrons, staff, and visiting artists alike, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. The Playhouse values hard work, kindness, generosity, passion, and grace-under-pressure. Employee will be expected to work evening and weekend hours at the theatre during performances, and extended hours for special events such as Opening Nights and the Annual Gala. Employee will have time in the office to handle administrative duties during the week when it fits into their schedule.
