General Summary:

Asolo Rep (LORT B) Florida’s premier professional theatre and one of the most important

cultural forces in the Southeastern US is seeking to fill its Associate Production Manager

Position. The Associate Production Manager works on all aspects of production management in a proactive manner to ensure smooth operation of technical operations for the company. This is a full-time exempt year round staff position which requires candidate be a resident of

the community. Relocation assistance may be available.



Essential Job Functions:

• Manage production process for each assigned projects, outside jobs and rentals



• Facilitate the flow of information and alignment of activity among production departments, and between production staff, design teams, directors, stage managers, and departments



• Maintain the season production calendar with rehearsals, performances, and all related tech dates.



• Prepare for and coordinate production meetings by providing all participants with necessary materials, contact information and opportunities for preliminary consultations.

• Work with Artistic Associate to organize opportunities for PAD to meet (zoom or in person) creative team members

• Assist in hiring and contracting designers, programmers, and assistants.

• Manage and contribute to creation of production budgets. Work with production and design teams to arrive at artistic execution that aligns with project budgets, available resources, and organization values. Maintain budget projections



• Assist in hiring and supervisory support of all Production staff.



• Collaborate with all departments and assist all staff as necessary



• Attend production meetings, staff meetings, other meetings as needed.



• Take on other responsibilities as appropriate or as assigned by the Director of Production.



Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 3-5 years working knowledge of all technical aspects of theatrical production.

• Ability to serve as an initiative-taking facilitator, problem solver and analytical thinker.

• Ability to respond to changing circumstances quickly and with a positive attitude

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of LORT, AEA, IATSE and USA union agreements.

• Deep commitment to theatre and desire for its success.

• Flexibility to a work schedule that will include long work weeks, evening/weekends typically required during tech/previews and for assigned projects.



Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• Education in production management, stage management, technical direction, or related field preferred.

• Experience in professional theatre production management process.

• Working knowledge of all areas of production.
