The McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More, Gallow Green, Manderley Bar, and The Club Car is seeking a full time Associate Production Manager. Reporting to the Director of Production, this new position will aid in managing all aspects of current and new productions for multiple event spaces within the venue from start to finish.
A successful candidate understands all aspects of theatrical production - scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, stage management, etc - and the ways they work together as well as being willing and excited to integrate well with bar and restaurant staff to create a seamless patron experience. They are able to help guide creative teams into the creation of events, parties, and production and be open to new ideas and be comfortable in a variety of settings. Candidate will bring an empathetic demeanor and strong work ethic to their work with staff, designers, technicians, directors, stage managers, and other guest artists. Candidate must be willing to jump in and assist with hands-on tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be focused on leading a production process in which production elements are on time, within budget, and have the skills necessary to make independent decisions that advance the vision, mission and purpose of The McKittrick Hotel.
We are seeking someone who is a true self-starter, a multi-tasker, and someone able to prioritize responsibilities. Candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, possess and exhibit empathy, exude a good sense of humor, and a track record of on-their-feet problem solving. Candidate must be proactive and possess clear communication skills and the ability to be a team player able to work collaboratively and independently.

Requirements:
-Assume the role of Associate Production Manager for the McKittrick Hotel and all events taking place in the building.
-Take notes for all production meetings, run production meetings in the Director of Production’s absence
-In collaboration with the Director of Production, maintain detailed production budgets for each production, including physical production and labor, for each department.
-Working with the Director of Production, maintain production calendars for Sleep No More and all events.
-Creatively engages and partners with design and production teams to meet budget goals and deadlines while maintaining design integrity, production quality, and safety
-Coordinate with Production Stage Manager and Department Heads for room reservations for rehearsals, workshops, and events and maintain all calendars.
-Assists with hands-on production tasks as needed and as skill set allows.
-In consultation with the Director of Production, make and approve purchases and within the preapproved budgets.
-Coordinate with Events Producers to schedule, budget, and execute all large scale events.
-Provide management oversight in the space from load-in through strike for events and workshops.
-Working with the Production Manager, coordinate post-mortem meetings to help improve the process in which The McKittrick Hotel executes events.
-Aid the Production Manager with additional tasks, as assigned.
-General schedule would be Tuesday - Saturday work week.
-Position requires some evening and weekend hours - particularly during Halloween, New Years, Mid-May.
Qualifications:
-4 year degree in Theatrical Production/Studies or equivalent professional experience.
-Minimum 1 year experience in production/project leadership at a theatre, arts center, or equivalent organization.
-Proficient in AutoCAD and/or VectorWorks
-Exceptional people and time management skills.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills; Great attention to detail; Adaptable and calm under pressure; Proactive self starter.
-Basic scenic, electrics, sound, and/or costuming skills.
-Light lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of supplies, etc., up to 50 lbs., as well as occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
-Drivers License and willingness to drive in New York City a plus.
