Ogunquit Playhouse is seeking an experienced Assistant Company Manager for the 2023 season. This is an entry level position that runs approximately June through December. The Ogunquit Playhouse is a not-for profit organization committed to providing the highest quality musical theatre, with the best talent in the industry.
Responsibilities include assisting the Company Manager in the following areas:
• Coordinating travel/housing/company vehicle needs for cast, crew, creatives, staff, and musicians for Main Stage & Education and Outreach Program
• Emergency response/dispatch for housing problems
• Submit and track company member reimbursements
• Sort and deliver incoming mail by department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution
• Assist with facilitating hospitality for tech rehearsals, change-overs, and company events
• Responsible for safely transporting guests to/from various destinations throughout the season
General Qualifications:
• Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and time management
• Energetic person who can thrive in a demanding environment
• Valid driver’s license, ability to safely operate a 14-passenger van
• Familiarity with Google Drive, Microsoft Suite and Tessitura a plus
• Theatre experience in Company Management, or the equivalent of, is preferred but not required
• Self-starter with initiative, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude
• Possess a professional demeanor when communicating with all staff, sponsors, and patrons
Housing, travel stipend, and competitive pay provided. The work week includes a 48-hour work week as well as an on-call rotation. All team members will be expected to work during changeovers which run from Saturday through the following Sunday.
Schedule: Day shift, Holidays, Night shift, On call, Weekend availability
Must be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations.
