Our subject today is pretty simple… newspapers and the people who sell 'em. We are going to start this review by asking you to try to picture a special kind of super-tabloid. This Fort Wayne Civic Theatre adaptation of the 1992 Disney movie musical - itself inspired by the New York newsboy strike of 1899 comes roaring to life on stage, and this show certainly takes it to you. Seriously though… You don't hear lines like "We've got a union!" coming from "The Little Mermaid."

Three Rivers Music Theatre presents the hilarious and heart-filled [TITLE OF SHOW], running from September 21 to October 7. 

Grammy-winner and 2018 Tony Award nominee Renee Fleming is set to open the Fort Wayne Philharmonic's historic 75th Anniversary Season. Flemings will perform at 7:30PM at the Embassy Theatre on October 6, 2018.

As part of the Broadway at the Embassy series, KINKY BOOTS will open at The Embassy on January 29, 2019. 

Pasek and Paul's hit DOGFIGHT is heading to Three Rivers Music Theatre, running from July 6 to July 28. 

Fort Wayne Ballet's Season 62 Opening Weekend Performance will include LIGHT RAIN, PAS DE DEESSES, and BOLERO. The weekend is September 28 and September 29.

Arena Dinner Theatre closes out its 2017-18 season with Stephen Sondheim's brilliant A Little Night Music. The 1973 hit musical weaves the stories of multiple love triangles involving an actress, a count and his wife, and a lawyer and his family, as facilitated by a Greek chorus of servants (sung by Brad Davis, Renee Gonzales, Andrew Gross, Leah Wedler, and Mineli Manoukian). Both hilarious and romantic, the show takes the audience on a wild weekend in the country where everyone plots to find love with the person of their choice.

The classic novel detailing the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde comes to the stage in JEKYLL & HYDE THE MUSICAL at Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, running from September 8 to September 17. 

The musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, based on the movie 'The Birdcage' with Robin Williams, is coming to Fort Wayne Civic Theatre from February 17, 2019, to March 4, 2019. 

Fort Wayne Civic Theatre will present Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS, running from November 4 to November 19. 

The one-man show BUYER & CELLAR is running from March 16 to March 25 at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre. 

In honor of its 90th anniversary, the Embassy Theatre offers a  Community Celebration Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $9 and are available at the STAR Bank box office at the Embassy, TicketMaster.com and 800.745.3000. NEWSIES is running at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre from July 28 to August 12. This production is directed and choreographed by Leslie Beauchamp.

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic and The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre are collaborating for a TRIBUTE TO THE MUSIC OF RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN for two nights only, on April 20 and April 21, at the Embassy Theatre. 

One of the true joys of the Arena Dinner Theatre is its ability to pack a wide variety of styles and genres into a single season. After a musical drama, a murder mystery, and two comedies, Arena gives us a classic drama: 'The Glass Menagerie.' The semi-autobiographical play by Tennessee Williams was written in 1944, it takes place in 1937 during the Depression. It gives a fictionalized back story of his mentally unstable sister, their overbearing mother, and his own escape from the harsh reality he grew up in.

The News Sentinel reports that the Clyde Theater has completed its five million dollar renovation, and is ready to begin its new life as a concert hall and special events venue!
