Equity actors of all ethnicities and gender identifications for roles in Zoetic Stage's 2023- 24 Season (see breakdown).
Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.
Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.
All auditioners should prepare two contrasting monologues, and, if auditioning for the musical, a brief cut of a standard, music theatre, or jazz-like piece. A pianist will be available. Please provide two headshots and two resumes at the audition.

In CLYDEʼS, a truck stop sandwich shop offers its formerly incarcerated kitchen staff a shot at redemption. Even as the shopʼs callous owner tries to keep them down, the staff members learn to reclaim their lives, find purpose, and become inspired to dream by their shared quest to create the perfect sandwich.
Seeking:
Clyde: African American/Black female-identifying between 40 and 55 years of age. Clyde is a no nonsense, tough as nails owner of a truck stop restaurant surviving as she knows how. CAST
Montrellous: African American/Caribbean America/Black male-identifying between 40 and 55 years of age. Montrellous is a zen-like figure in the kitchen of Clyde's and leads with his mind, artistry and ethics.
Rafael: Caribbean Hispanic/Latino/x male-identifying in his 20's. Rafael works in the kitchen. Charismatic and romantic, also a recovering addict. Has a good command of comedy and physical comedy. CAST
Letitia: African American/Caribbean American/Black female-identifying in her 20's. Letitia works in the kitchen at Clyde's. She is a tough, direct woman who is incredibly vulnerable. Has a good command of comedy.
Jason: White male-identifying in his late 20's. Jason has white supremist tattoos on his neck and face. He works in the kitchen at Clydes. Must have a strong connection to vulnerability and comedy as well as roughness.

When Ben leaves his lucrative associate job at a New York law firm to join the Israeli Defense Force, his secular Jewish family must reexamine its positions towards the state of Israel and their Jewish identity. A play about whether political belief can destroy familial bonds, and how much we owe to our community.
Seeking:
Jake Blumenthal: White male-identifying in his 20's. Jake is in journalism- sports journalism but desires to have a greater impact somehow on something. Jake is a liberal Millennial coming from a privileged world. Has a good sense of language and comedy.
Cindy Blumenthal: White female-identifying between 45 and 55. A loving mother- sometimes overly loving- and a secular Jewish woman who doesn't like to make many waves.
Leo Blumenthal: White male-identifying between 45 and 55. Cindy's husband. Well established, well connected and well paid. A good guy. Loves his family, loves his life and frankly, what's not to love.

possess a new-found love of Israel. Everything comes easy to Ben. Has a good sense of physical comedy, language and vulnerability.

Mark Silver: White male-identifying in his 50's or 60's. Fay's husband. Politically conservative, physically unwell and usually stands in Fay's shadow.
Amelia Zheng: Eastern Asian American/ Chinese/Thai female-identifying in her 20's. Jake's girlfriend who is introduced at a family Seder at Passover. Amelia is a journalist and super left on the political scale. She is a go-getter.

Along his travels to Berlin, he uncovers many undiscovered layers to himself including sexual, political and artistic. Does not have to be a singer but must be able to sing and move well. Herr Schultz: Any ethnicity male-identifying between 50 and 65. A Jewish fruit shop owner who is very much in love with Fräulein Schneider. Top high F, bottom low G.
Fräulein Kost (Doubles as Frenchie): Any ethnicity, female-identifying in her 30's. She is the prostitute who rents a room from Fräulein Schneider. She is bold, brazen, sexual and harsh. Has good comic command. Top high F, bottom A flat.
Max (doubles as Herman, Customs Official): Any ethnicity, male-identifying between 30 and 50. Max owns the Kit Kat Club. He is loveable, sexual and mean. Has a presence.
Kit Kat Girls and Boys (Also sailors, and other folk of Berlin): Any ethnicities, male and female identifying between 20 and 60. Able to dance/move well, great comic abilities and have acting chops. The Kit Kat Girls and Boys are Cabaret performers generally in cheeky musical numbers.
