National Black Theatre is seeking actors for a physically intense developmental workshop of a new piece entitled, Zoohouse by Aurin Squire. Actors should be comfortable with speaking in verse, working in an ensemble driven environment and singing acapella.

Seeking:

KRIS
Male, mid 20s - early 30s – African-American. brilliant, mad, funny conjurer

TURNER
Male, mid 30s - mid 40s – African-American. drugged mastermind. Like Neo in The Matrix, he doesn't know his strength locked inside of him.

NURSE
Female, 40 - mid 60s - Person of African Decent. bored and numb hospital worker with a resentment toward her supervisors. She's seemingly grown numb to breaking up fights, being bitten by patients, and spoken down to by other doctors.

SLAVE 1/2 SINGER
Male/Female - age 20s - early 30s - Afro Latino, Afro Caribbean. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum duo of pranksters and druggies.
