ALL ROLES ARE CAST (casting by Pat McCorkle).
We strongly encourage actors of all genders, races and ethnicities to submit for all roles. All characters are British with the exception of Maxine who is American. Age ranges for all characters: 30s to 40s.
Tony Windice: a retired, British tennis pro now selling sports equipment, likes the finer things in life, but cannot afford them. His solution is to have his wealthy wife murdered. A self-assured schemer who thinks he's plotted the perfect crime. Of course, he's wrong.
Margot Windice: Tony's British wife, beautiful and wealthy. She and Tony's marriage has not always been strong, but she foolishly thinks it is going well now. She's wrong - almost dead wrong. Her true love is Maxine.
Maxine Holiday: a New Yorker who writes for television crime shows, loves Margot, expressing her love in letters that Tony discovers and uses to blackmail his wife. Maxine is determined to exonerate Margot when she receives the death sentence for murdering Lesgate.
Lesgate: also known as C.A. Swann, Adams, and Wilson, is three years older than Tony and attended Cambridge at the same time he did. He is a thief and a murderer, and Tony convinces him to murder his wife for a thousand pounds. The plot fails, and Lesgate is murdered instead.
Inspector Hubbard: intelligent policeman who solves the crime.
All characters are of West African descent and are to be played by African and/or Black actors.
PAULINA SARPONG: (pronounced Paul-LEE-nah/ SAAR-pong) - 18 years old; most popular girl in school and knows it. She is beautiful, talented, vindictive yet somehow loveable.

NANA: (pronounced Nah-nah) - 16 years old; the quiet, simple and sensitive one of Paulina's pack. She never means any harm and strives to always do the right thing. She struggles with her love of food and snacks.
MERCY: 16 years old; the witty sidekick to Gifty and will do and say anything to stay a member of Paulina's pack.
