Sides will be provided at the audition. Blind/low vision performers may request an advance copy of sides when making an audition appointment. Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

Seeking:

Theatre states: “All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. The theatre is especially interested in seeing New Jersey resident actors. No housing is available to out-of-area performers. Theatre is required to offer one Equity contract for this season. All roles available. Theatre is also interested in meeting actors for future productions, all ages and types.

Colonel Croftus Thunder:

40s-50s. Stalwart retired cavalry officer who refuses to retire. Dutiful southern gentleman. Past his prime, but full of fire and brimstone.

Corporal Crow:

Over 40. Trusty and patient assistant to Col. Thunder. Native American with an Irish brogue. Crafty and wise, but clumsy.

Kate Thunder:

20s. Beautiful, rowdy, down to earth, more comfortable roping a steer than wearing a dress, but capable of pretending to be refined.

Harry Thunder:

20s-30s. The rascal son of Col. Croftus. Very metrosexual, very out of place in the west, a true clothes horse and ladies man.

Muz:

Over 40. Dusty old ranch-hand, resigned to his task of keeping Harry out of trouble.

Jack Rover:

20s. Young, handsome romantic lead. Enamored of acting, traveling, Shakespeare…and women!

Ephraim Smooth:

30-40. Smarmy faux evangelist, using religion to hide his lustful nature. Plans to take over the world…or at least Kate's ranch!

Ike Gammon:

30-40. Mean and greedy; would sell his daughter for a good price. Always plotting mischief, coercion and revenge.

Sim Gammon:

20s. Simple-minded and sweet, Sim is doing the best he can.

Jane Gammon:

20s. Prettier than she is smart, she’s an innocent young thing, coming of age and longing for a taste of worldliness.

Señor Morales:

30-40. Honest, hard-working, cactus-farming tequila-maker. Devoted to taking care of his sister.

Mister Kliegle and Mister Leko:

Any age. Theatrical inventors. Very upbeat, excitable, quirky characters

Amelia Dolores Morales:

40s-50s. Strong and beautiful woman. Has waited years for her husband's return.

Stage Managers may make an appointment to be seen at this call. The Theatre states that it will also post a separate notice for SMs.

Transit Note: Theatre states that the venue is accessible by bus (190 from Port Authority Bus Terminal) and train from NYC.
