ROLES:
Jeffrey: Male, early-mid 30’s. African-American. Jeffrey is little shy, with a certain vulnerability that seems odd in an inmate. He has a lot of integrity and inner strength. also plays Pastor Sarah, a well intentioned minister with a speech impediment, as well as small appearances as Hillary Clinton and a Five Year Old Boy.
Bey: late-30s, African-American. Thoughtful and introspective, though he may be perceived as slow or simple by others.
FLEX: 30s, but with the vigor and swagger of man many years his junior. African-American. Very physical.
SPEEDY: 40, African-American. Overflowing with ideas, despite often lacking the skill and the knowledge to follow them through.
SOURCE: mid 40s, African-American. A strong sense of self. Wise, intuitive, balanced. Aware of who he once was in his squandered youth, and aware of who he wants to be now.
RICK: 30s, African-American. A recovering addict who has spent most of his adult life in prison. A big personality who commands power; well-respected.
THE VOLUNTEER: 40s, Caucasian. An actress. Though she’s well-regarded in her career, her life is falling apart and she’s unaware as to how she is participating and contributing to that.
