Seeking:
Theo
Solid, muscular, maybe a bit of a fireplug ideally early 40's. Theo is an old school Prussian.
Louise
Very pretty, mid-20’s. Theo’s wife.
Cohen
Could be slight, could be a bit roly poly, mid 30's/40, a little Jewish guy, wire rim
glasses - a shopkeeper type. Jewish/German accent. A nice, gentle man.
Versati
Italian metrosexual. Handsome, hair greased back, maybe a pencil moustache. The kind of handsome man one meets at a spa resort, who sweeps the older women off
their feet. More impressed with himself than the women he tries to seduce. Kind of like 'Adolfo' in Drowsy Chaperone. Italian accent. Also doubles as Kaiser Wilhelm (King) in final scene. German accent.
Gertrude
Early 40's. Sexy, bosomy, hot German woman. Disappointed in love and sex and living vicariously through her downstairs neighbor. But she's willing to give up vicarious for real action with Theo.
Klinglehoff
60s - 70s . Sweet, very precise, very German, older man. Very nice, but very old fashioned, conservative.
_________
THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN
by Eric Coble
Dir.: Lynne Bolton
Rehearse: 6/28
Open: 7/22
Close: 8/14
Alexandra
60 - 80 years old. Artist. In a showdown with her family over where she’ll spend her remaining years. Witty, Passionate, full of life. Ready to take on the world.
Chris
Her son. 40’s. Aging hippie/cowboy. Ponytail. Estranged from his family. Closest to his Mother. Chris is an artist at heart.
___________
THE LADIES FOURSOME
by Norm Foster
Dir.: Judith Ivey
Rehearse: 8/9
Open: 8/27
Close: 9/11
Margot
50-55 years old. Margot runs a construction company founded by her father. She’s successful and respected in an industry that’s stereotypically controlled by men -- manly men with hairy backs and sore muscles. And she loves a beer or six in the morning.
Tate
42 years old. Tate lives the picturesque life of a physician’s wife with three
children uniformly spaced in age. Tate lives a much sought-after easy life, coveted by
many people, but feels isolated and lonely.
Connie
50-55 years old. A television journalist. At the outset seems a person who lives to indulge her sexual appetites at the expense of so-called meaningful, lasting
relationships. A powerhouse personality-- famous (locally at least—she does the local evening news) professional woman.
Dory
Around 40 years old. Swept up in love with her husband, left a Las Vegas singing career to follow her man to Arrowhead Lodge where they live year-round with their six children in an isolated lake in Canada.
