This is a remount of Underground Railway Theater's 2013 co-production with The Nora Theatre Company.

A DISAPPEARING NUMBER
by Simon McBurney, et al.
Director TBD.

Rehearsals begin January 26, 2015. Performances run February 19 - March 22, 2015.

The following roles are available:

RUTH. Female. Age 29-35. English mathematician.

AL COOPER. Male. Age 32-42. Indian American. Ruth's Husband. Businessman.

ANINDA RAO. Male Age 30-40. Indian. String theorist.

RAMAUJAN: Male. Age 29-35. Indian. Early 20th century mathematician from a rural Brahmin family who, with almost no formal training, made extraordinary contributions to pure mathematics. Helped create a foundation for string theory

G.H. HARDY: Male. 40's. Early 20th century mathematician at Cambridge, known for his achievements in number theory and mathematical analysis. Called his collaboration with Ramanujan his greatest contribution to mathematics and the one romantic incident of my life.

ENSEMBLE ACTOR 1: Female. Age 20-40. Preferred: Experience with Indian dance, tabla, and/or shadow puppetry. Roles include both Indian and British characters.

ENSEMBLE ACTOR 2: Male. Age 20-40. Preferred: Experience with Indian dance, tabla, and/or shadow puppetry.

Adapted from Mr. G: A Novel About the Creation by Alan Lightman.
Written and directed by Wesley Savick.

Rehearsals begin March 30, 2015. Performances run April 23 - May 24, 2015.

For all actors, experience with devised, collaboratively created work preferred.

MR. G. Ageless. Possibly a child. Endlessly curious and all powerful.

UNCLE DEVA: Male. Age 50-60.

BELHOR: Male or female. Ageless. Some would call a demon. Asks the hard questions.

BAPHOMET: Male or female. Ageless. Some would call a demon or perhaps a trickster. Dance or gymnastics a plus.
