Breakdown
Javier Díaz-Johnson (DJ):
African-American or Afro-Latino male. Age: 40s. He is a suave and energetic high school History/Music teacher. Idealistic peacemaker. Strongly believes in the teachings of Howard Zinn.
Miriam Mayor:
Caucasian female of Spanish-Jewish heritage. Early 60s. She is an English teacher with endearing, motherly instincts. She loves to bake and read.
Apollonia Pitt (Apple):
African-American female. Age: 30s. A special education teacher. She is a woman with attitude and very long nails. (Chandra Wilson type.)
Ben Bennett:
Caucasian male. Age: 30s. He is a gay, gym teacher. He likes to keep active and stay fit. He is kind-hearted, naïve and is always optimistic.
Victor Perlmutter:
Caucasian male. Age: 29. An Art Teacher who has Tourette's Syndrome and occasionally stutters and barks. Begrudgingly, he now lives with his parents.
Paula Powers:
Caucasian female. Age: 30s. She was an efficient high school principal who was forced back into the classroom to teach Earth Science. She is a bit of an elitist and is DJ’s former colleague.
Maurice:
African-American male. Age: 40s. He is a likable guard who works for a private security company.
