Actors will be auditioning for both True Colors Theatre Company and Theatrical Outfit Seasons at these EPAs.

Preparation
Please prepare a combination of no more than three minutes of material - monologue and song, two contrasting monologues, two contrasting songs, one monologue, etc. Accompanist provided both days.

Bring TWO copies of your picture and resume.

Robert
50’s- Catherine’s father, recently deceased esteemed mathematician. Plagued by delusional mental illness. Seen in Catherine’s imagination and in flashbacks

Claire
29- Catherine’s older sister, practical, business minded, successful.

Hal
28– One of Robert’s last PhD students.

Walter ‘Pops’ Washington
Black- Retired NYC policeman. Recently widowed.

Oswaldo
mid 20’s-30 – Latino - Nuyorican from the Bronx. Recent parolee. Recovering addict who just hit 90 days sober. Struggles to maintain his sobriety. Feels his family has rejected him and wants to reconcile with them. He is fragile, wounded but hopeful.

Lulu
20’s- Latino-Junior’s girlfriend. Voluptuous and opinionated. Believed by Pops and Oswaldo to be a prostitute. Says she’s studying accounting at City College. Not the sharpest Knife in the drawer.

Junior
Late 30’s-40’s- Black-Pops son. Recently released from prison. Feels stuck. Wants more than anything to have a relationship with his father.

Lieutenant Dave Caro
40’s-50’s Italian American- Engaged to Det. O’Conner’s. Has hopes of becoming Deputy Commissioner and thinks by getting Pops to drop the lawsuit against the city would make him a shoe in.

Detective Audrey O’Connor
30’s – 40’s White - Formally the rookie partner of Pops. Considers Pops a true mentor and friend. Engaged to Lt. Caro. They live together on Long Island.

Church Lady
30-40- Portuguese accent- Brazilian by birth, not a church lady at all. Uses her wits and wiles to try to survive
