[LÉONIDE] 20s. A Spartan princess, disguised as a man called Phocion. She is quite charming and beautiful. She knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. She is rational, patient, clever, and driven by love. She knows love and desire better than anyone—and the way it breeds anxiety and anguish; she excels at persuasion. Always two steps ahead...quick on her feet.
[CORINE] 20s. Léonide's maid, disguised as a man called Hermidas. Fiercely loyal to Léonide, she has genuine respect for Léonide and her mind. Corine toes the line of confidant and friend to Léonide, but does not cross the formal boundaries of their relationship. Corine knows what makes people tick.
