SEEKING:

[Daniel] 18-early 20s, Black, Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). Rock’s older brother, often getting into trouble with the law and anxious to make sure Rock stays close by his side. Will understudy the principal role of ROCK 18, Black. Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). Strong, but quiet, Rock often feels persecuted for things he can't control, and it’s caused him to turn inward, except for occasional flashes of frustration. Dancing unlocks a way of expressing himself and opens him up to a less defensive, more hopeful outlook on his future. Baritenor. Hip-hop dance ability.

[Eddie] 17, Black/Brown, Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). A wise guy and joker, prone to failing courses and being comically self-deprecating about it. Friendly and outgoing. Vocal Range: Tenor/Rapper. Hip-hop dancer.

[Kurd] 16, white. Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). Gangly, energetic, but not entirely comfortable in his own skin — which leads him to try to copy the style and speech patterns of the other kids at Drake despite it not quite looking or sounding right on him. Vocal Range: Baritenor/Rapper. Hip-hop dancer.

[Monster] 17, Black. Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). A big kid with a big heart, but deeply shy. When paired up with Caitlin, their partnership soon becomes something more. Vocal Range: Bass/Baritone/Rapper. Hip-hop dance ability.

[Lance] 17, any race. Male (cis, trans, or non-binary). Morgan’s talented but slightly scattered partner. Excellent dancer with ballroom ability. Vocal Range: Any.

[Gucci] 17, Black. Female (cis, trans, or non-binary). She knows what’s up, and she’s ready to tell you. A budding fashionista with “unique” street style a la Missy Elliot. Monster’s cousin. Vocal Range: Alto/Rapper. Hip-hop dance ability. May understudy the principal role of LA RHETTE. 17, Black. Female (cis, trans, or non-binary). Smart, curious, beautiful – but also trying to succeed academically in the face of significant pressure to help care for her family, and despite her anger and hurt over a longstanding feud with Rock and his brother. Dancing with Rock causes her to reconsider her assumptions about other people and to take the risk of falling in love. Mezzo/High Mix Belt with lots of riffing. Hip-hop dance ability.

[Morgan] 17, white. Female (cis, trans, or non-binary). Arrogant, competitive, but extremely talented; the star pupil of Pierre and Alan’s academy. Excellent dancer with ballroom ability. Vocal Range: Any.

[Male Dance Swing(s)] Excellent, versatile dancers with hip-hop ability. Strong singing required and potential to understudy featured Ensemble roles and/or principal roles. Please note if the performer also has extensive ballroom experience.

[Female Dance Swing(s)] Excellent, versatile dancers with hip-hop ability. Strong singing required and potential to understudy featured Ensemble roles and/or principal roles. Please note if the performer also has extensive ballroom experience.
