Seeking Equity actor/singers for this musical revue of the 1960s that follows its main character through the decade as she experiences life-changing events. see breakdown.
Preparation Prepare a brief pop or rock song from the 60s (or possibly 70s). Bring sheet music in the correct key; and an accompanist will be provided. Bring picture & resume stapled together.

NOTE: A musical revue of the 1960s that follows its main character through the decade as she experiences life-changing events. The audience will experience many aspects of the era through this song-and-dance story ____________________ SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES: PRINCIPAL WOMEN: ANGELA (To play late 30s – early 40s): She is a glamorous, elegant woman with great warmth and style. She possesses a loving and motherly affection over Caroline even though she has just met her. Her persona changes throughout the course of the show and she is always with Caroline in one form or another. She could be looked at as a spiritual guide or guardian angel. Must have star presence and possess a beautiful 60’s pop style singing voice ranging from Judy Collins to Cher. Her songs include “Moon River”, “Both Sides Now”, “The Way of Love”. CAROLINE (To play 18-27): She begins her journey as a present-day all-American girl – a beautiful, wealthy, spoiled, contemporary teenager, much like today’s teen celebrities. Once transported back in time she must learn responsibility and the true meaning of love and loss. Must have a great pop-rock singing voice with tremendous versatility, ranging from Connie Francis to Grace Slick. Excellent dancer. Her songs include “Somebody to Love”, “Where the Boys Are”, “Downtown”, “A Lover’s Concerto”. JENNIFER (To play mid – late 20s): African-American. She rises from humble beginnings to become a superstar a la Diana Ross. Smart, determined, a natural beauty. Must be an excellent pop-rock singer and dance extremely well. Her songs include “These Boots Are Made for Walking”, “Nowhere to Run To”. CRYSTAL (To play mid – late 20s): Wild hippie/flower child, highly sensual with a sinuous, snake-like quality. Must be an excellent pop-rock singer and dance extremely well, vocal versatility ranging from Leslie Gore to Grace Slick. Her songs include “White Rabbit”, “You Don’t Own Me”. PRINCIPAL MEN: ADAM (To play 18-27): Ivy League student, political activist. Falls in love with Caroline, teaches her the meaning of true love and opens her eyes to the realities of the world around her. Politically motivated and killed at a student rally. Must have an excellent pop-folk voice a la Paul Simon and must dance very well. His songs include “California Dreamin’”, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone”. GEORGE (To play mid – late 20s): Hip, cool and mod single swinger a la Tom Jones, a dreamer looking for his one true love. Must be an excellent pop crooner. Should be athletic and dance very well. Partnering skills needed. Songs include “The Girl from Ipanema”, “I Saw Her Standing There”. PETER (To play mid – late 20s): Crystal’s hippie, free-loving boyfriend. Must be an excellent pop/rock singer and dance very well. Principle songs include “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”, “Venus” and “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted”.
