JON: Male. Any Race/Ethnicity. 20s-30s. A struggling composer on the brink of his 30th Birthday. Michael’s roommate and Susan’s
Boyfriend. Range: Tenor A2-A4. (Piano / Instrument Experience is a plus but not required.)
MICHAEL: Male. Any Race/Ethnicity 20s-30s. A former actor-turned-market research executive. He is Jon’s roommate and best friend. Character Doubles as: COUNTER GUY, DAD, and MARKET RESEARCH GUY. Range: Tenor Bb2-Gb4.
SUSAN: Female. Any Race/Ethnicity 20s-30s. A dancer and Jon’s girlfriend. Sexy, kind, independent. Character Doubles as: KARESSA, ROSA, JUDY, and MOM. Range: Mezzo-Sop A3-D5
PREPARATION
Prepare a contemporary musical theater song from or in the style of the show no more than a minute long. If you wish to demonstrate singing/playing skills you're welcome to prepare a short song. Please bring a copy of your headshot, resume, your book, and your instrument if accompanying self.
