SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:
CAMILLE
Male, late 20s-early 30s – THERESE’s sickly cousin, later her husband. In life, he is childish, spoiled, and dismissive of his wife. In death, he haunts Therese and her lover LAURENT, ultimately causing their undoing.
LAURENT
Male, late 20s-early 30s – THERESE’s lover and a co-worker of CAMILLE’s. His passionate lust for Therese drives him to commit a murder. We see him transform from a charming, sensitive artist into a shell of his former self, consumed and haunted by guilt.
GRIVET
Male, 50s-70s – A colleague of CAMILLE’s at the railway office. He is set in his ways, perpetually punctual, and famed for his unfailing efficiency.
MICHAUD
Male, 50s-70s – A friend of the Raquin family, he is the retired superintendent of police. He is well-off and enjoys leisure and luxury, but is also wise and comforting when necessary.
SUZANNE
Female, early-mid 20s – MICHAUD’s niece. Though she is vain and silly, she has a kind heart.
