SEEKING

TheaterWorksUSA, America’s largest theatre for young and family audiences, seeks Equity performers for the 2018/19 season. Especially seeking diverse actors we haven’t seen in the last 6 months. Most roles require singing in tight harmony.

PREPARATION

Singers: Prepare a contemporary musical theatre or pop song. Bring music in correct key; accompanist provided.

Non-Singers: Prepare a contemporary comedic monologue. Does not need to be children or family friendly material. Just show us your sense of humor.

Or you can do a one minute monologue and 16 bars of a song if auditioning for musicals/plays.

Total audition time no more than 2 minutes.

All productions tour various dates throughout the year. Some contracts are 9-months, from end of August until mid-June. Shows only touring in the fall generally start rehearsing at the end of August / early September and run until mid-December, and shows touring only in the spring start rehearsing in late December/early January and run until as late as mid-June.

ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION, REHEARSE, AND TRAVEL FROM NYC. Some tours will be traveling to Canada, so actors must be able to travel outside of the United States.

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

An Equity monitor will be provided.

ALL ACTORS WILL BE SIGNED ON AS ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS. Actor/ASMs are required to unload/load, setup and/or strike the set. No single piece of scenery shall exceed such proportions of height or weight as to make it impossible to be carried reasonably by two members of the company.
