SEEKING
Equity actors for the following roles in THE WIZARD OF OZ:
Munchkins (shorter than 50 inches tall)
Dorothy (age 14-18)
Mayor of the Munchkins
The Tin Woodman
The Cowardly Lion
The Wizard of Oz
All other roles have been cast.
Please note: Compass Rose Theater casts all roles with age-appropriate actors. Young actors particularly encouraged to audition for Dorothy, Munchkin roles, and other character parts.
PREPARATION
Please prepare 16 bars of two songs, one upbeat and one ballad. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions. There will also be cold readings from the script/songbook. Young students may sing a simple song.
Student actors are asked to bring a recent picture – professional headshot not required for student actors.

Student actors please note: Rehearsals for younger actors will be adjusted to suit school schedules except for tech and dress rehearsals.
OTHER
Description: The fanciful and heartwarming tale of Dorothy who wishes for a better life, a better place, and is transported to OZ, where there are good and bad witches and friends to help her as she realizes that there is no place like home after all.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.
