BREAKDOWN
Already cast: Woman 1 and Woman 2
Seeking:
Man 1
Asian-American man late teens to early 20s. Will play many roles in this devised revival. The play is a dramatized court transcript from the trial of nine Catholic activists who broke into the draft office in Catonsville, Maryland and set all of the county's draft records on fire in an act of war resistance. The re-conceived cast of three (traditionally a cast of eleven) will encompass all roles. Looking for a facile actor who can play everything from Daniel Berrigan: the charismatic organizer of the protest, fierce in his convictions of faith and pacifist politics, to the Witness: a matronly desk clerk and dutiful civil servant, aghast and deeply upset by the anti-war actions of the protesters.
