BREAKDOWN

THE OUTSIDER

SEEKING:

An Equity Stage Manager for THE OUTSIDER from first rehearsal 9/17 to closing 11/3 with possible extension to 11/10.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Equity standards under category SPT 8.

Report directly to the Production Manager and Director.

Pre-production - communicate with cast i.e. conflicts to create and maintain rehearsal schedules in coordination with the director.

Time, track, and enforce breaks during rehearsals through tech.

Throughout the process, send daily calls, keep detailed rehearsal and performance reports. Act as a point of contact and foster clear communication between cast, production, and designers. Keep a list of your production responsibilities and oversee/manage the responsibilities of your ASM. This position requires working hours that include weekdays, nights and weekends.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

Membership in Actors’ Equity Association required.

Experience with and knowledge of equity standards, work experience as an Equity Stage Manager in a professional theater setting.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic, creative environment.

A proven track record of experience working in many roles backstage preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to create and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our casts and designers. A passion for live performance and the arts.

We’re looking for the person who has all the answers or isn’t afraid to ask for them.
