[MORGAN / WALTER POOLE] – 50s-60s, male-identifying, any ethnicity. [MORGAN] – eminent British author of Howards End. A teacher/spiritual guide to a group of young male writers. [WALTER POOLE] – Henry’s partner. A haunted survivor of the AIDS epidemic, he has lived his later years extremely cautiously. Honest, gentle, constantly giving, lonely, and delicate.
[ADAM MCDOWELL / LEO / YOUNG MAN 1] early 20s, male-identifying. [ADAM] – Charming, comes from privilege, incredibly physically attractive (and knows it). Tall, beautiful, sexy, he takes everyone's breath away when he walks in the room. Initially appears innocent and naive, but he is extremely smart and not to be underestimated. Knows what he needs to do to get what he wants. [LEO] an unhoused sex worker who comes from an extremely meager background. Damaged and guarded, but aching for love and true human connection. Note - AAPI, Latinx, and MENA performers are encouraged to submit.
[ERIC GLASS / YOUNG MAN 9] 30s, male-identifying, white or mixed-ethnicity, Jewish. Compassionate, kind, loyal, incessantly giving. Searching for purpose and meaning in his life, he doesn’t realize his true potential until it presents itself to him. Always seeking and learning, a deeper well than most realize.
[TOBY DARLING / YOUNG MAN 10] 30s, male identifying. A party boy with wild ambition. Sexy (and knows it), bold, funny, unapologetically a social climber. Simultaneously thinks incredibly highly of himself, while struggling with a deep self-doubt under the surface. He uses his swagger to cover his fragility. Note - AAPI, Latinx, and MENA performers are encouraged to submit.
