BREAKDOWN
Amanda – Female, all ethnicities, mid 40s – early 50s. A powerful force of nature who dominates her world. Charming and charismatic, with foolish aristocratic ambitions, Amanda is a survivor. Although at times she can seem cruel, she is well intentioned, and must have humor as well as tenderness.
Tom – Male, all ethnicities, mid 20s – early 30s. A rebel, an artist caught in a trap, in a battle royale with his mother, and deeply empathetic towards his sister.
Laura – Female, all ethnicities, 20s. Sensitive, fragile, painfully shy and isolated from the real world.
Gentleman Caller – Male, all ethnicities, 20s. An ordinary guy, a go-getter and natural charmer, who’s brought into the notion of selling yourself as a way of life.
