Breakdown

The CHOSEN
The story of two boys, two fathers and two very different Jewish communities “five blocks and a world apart” in Brooklyn in the 1940s. This is a heartfelt story of friendship and important choices that two families make on the path toward understanding, respect and reconciliation.

Rueven Malter / Mr. Galanter / Jack Rose / Dr. Nathan Appleman: Versatile male actor 35-40yrs old

Young Reuven Malter: strong male actor to play an orthodox Jewish boy from age 16 -19yrs old

Reb Saunders: Hasidic Rabbi (Danny’s Father) (45-55yrs old)

David Malter: Orthodox Professor at the Yeshiva (Rueven’s Father) (45-55yrs old)

Danny Saunders: strong male actor to play a Hasidic boy from age 16 – 19yrs old
