JIM HALLER:
Natalie's widowed father. Middle-aged and messy, he still longs for his wife. Baritone to F#4.
SYLVIA:
The no-nonsense, African-American owner of Sylvia's Honky-Tonk. Mezzo-Belter.
MAYOR MATILDA HYDE:
The town's very conservative mayor. Soprano to C6.
SHERIFF EARL:
The law in town and a man of not many words. He loyally follows the Mayor wherever she goes. Baritone to F#4.

ERIC SHERIDAN:
Male, 30s. A police officer. A bookish, even-keeled guy who finds himself complete out of his element throughout the play.
BILLIE DWYER:
Female, 20s/30s. A police officer. Eric's partner. Excitable, eager, and entirely unthreatening, she seemingly lacks every skill necessary for police work.
KAREN BROWN:
Female, 30s. An accountant, who has always taken pride in her professional demeanor. Filled with sexual hunger and unable to keep things in control.
MAYOR MEEKLY:
Male, older. An Innocent. An affable, gentle fellow. Not too quick on the pick-up, but a sweet soul.
AGENT FRANK:
Male, 20s - 50s. The head of Security at Town Hall and the wrong man for the job. Presents a confident, gruff exterior but is frequently frightened by his own shadow.
TODD:
Male, 20s - 50s. Speaks with a pronounced Scottish accent. A professional hit man. Cool, quiet, and perceptive, but more frequently an angry Scotsman.
MARY MEEKLY:
Female, older. The Mayor's wife. Small in stature and unfailingly sweet, she seems, in every way, the perfect match for her husband.

Male. Leading role. Baritone. Mover. British, brilliantly intelligent and crotchety professor of linguistics. A confirmed bachelor.
ELIZA DOOLITTLE:
Female. Leading role. Soprano. Dance ability a plus. British, cockney, flower girl. She is headstrong, willful and determined. Education and knowledge transform her from a bud to a rose in full bloom.
COLONEL PICKERING:
Male. Leading role. Baritone. Mover. A refined and elegant gentleman of the world and colleague of Higgins. He is also kindly, considerate and thoughtful.
ALFRED P. DOOLITTLE:
Male. Supporting role. Baritone. Dance ability a plus. Cockney, working class dustman. Actor must possess a great sense of humor and comic ability.
