Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and
dressing rooms.
Holding/Audition room information:
The audition room can accommodate no more than 15 individuals at a time.
The holding room can accommodate no more than 6 individuals at a time.
Roles will not be understudied.
LILLIAN - 30s; Black; woman. A subdued woman. She would try it, but she’s tired. LEAD
NELLY - 18+ to play late teens; Black; woman. A spirited young woman. She is hardly ever right, but
she is never wrong. You get what I’m saying? LEAD
LIL’ MAMA - 18+ to play pre-teens; Black; woman. A cheeky young woman. She calls it like she sees
it. And since she always sees it. LEAD
