BREAKDOWN
DEAN:
23, male, emo-country, plays guitar, sensitive. Dean's mother is a country music legend, and in her shadow he has struggled to find his voice. He considers himself an artist and he wants his music to be heralded as authentic and amazing. He would do anything for his love of Mia. Strong rock tenor and skilled guitar player.
TAMMY:
42, country music icon, fills every room she is in, her career is in a downturn. She loves her roots and the people from home, but LA--where she's been a superstar--is her home now. And although she chose her career over raising her son, she is not going to admit that. Strong pop country singer with a high mix belt.
PAULINE:
42, motherly, upbeat, sexually frustrated. Mother to Missy, wife of Samuel, her high school sweetheart. Although she loves her family, the affair she's having is the most exciting thing in her life right now. Strong pop country singer.
RIP:
25, guitar player, bartender, lovesick. Rip loves singing the blues, but actually has a healthy, positive outlook on life. He believes he could be happy with his bartending job and the love of Missy. He values family and community. Strong singer. Strong guitar player
